Maya Angelou, the American memoirist, poet, and civil rights activist, said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
And it’s true, especially when it comes to business coaching. You might assume business coaching is all about exponential growth and success, which it can be, but it’s also about feeling happier and more confident by learning how to set better goals and make better decisions which are aligned with who you are and what you want.

How does business coaching work, and how can it help you?
After the onboarding process with your business coach, you’ll attend regular sessions where you and your business coach identify positive steps you can take to make more money, build winning teams and gives you a chance to have more ‘life’. Essentially, you and your business coach work together to create a better life and business for you.
All business coaches have their own approach; however, the typical business coaching process involves:
- Assessing your current situation
- Determining what needs to be addressed
- Setting detailed goals
- Creating a timeline of actionable steps to take
- Implementing your actionable steps to ensure you meet your goals
- Reviewing your progress to hold you accountable and make sure you succeed.
As well as attending your business coaching sessions, many business coaches encourage their clients to reach out and ask any questions in between sessions. For example, “I’ve fallen behind on my goal to attend more exhibitions; what can I do?” or “A member of my team has just handed in their notice; do I start recruiting and how should I go about it?”

At Bill Squires Business Coaching, we not only coach our clients, but we also help them become the best in their industry. We recently attended BizX 2023, a national business conference with world-renowned speakers, with 16 clients, eight of whom entered 12 national awards. Of these eight clients, six were finalists, and one of our clients won!
